The Badge of Honor Memorial Foundation exists to support the families of law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. As the tragic number of officer fatalities has risen in recent years, we are committed to providing crucial assistance to both survivors and police departments during their most challenging times.
Our mission is clear: no grieving family should face overwhelming paperwork or financial uncertainty alone. Many of the 21,000 law enforcement agencies across the U.S. lack experience with casualty planning and resources to secure benefits for the families of fallen officers. We work proactively, reaching out within 24 hours of an officer’s death, to help departments and families navigate the complex process of obtaining federal and state benefits.
Through our workshops, training, and the Agency Casualty Assistance Guide, we ensure that departments and survivors receive the guidance they need. We stand by our belief that no child should have to sacrifice their education and no widow should be left struggling due to a lack of resources. Police officers serve our communities selflessly, and we are dedicated to making sure their families are cared for after their ultimate sacrifice.
We serve as advocates, ensuring that families receive the support, gratitude, and benefits they deserve. The brotherhood of law enforcement is strong, and we are here to uphold that bond when it is needed most.
